PC Games that Are Super Cozy

One of the best aspects of being a PC gamer is the vast variety of indie games available to play. With unique indie developers constantly adding incredible titles to Steam, the selection can sometimes feel overwhelming. To help, here are some of my favorite PC games that you can buy and play on Steam.

Palia

Developer Image: Singularity 6 Corporation

Palia is a free-to-play cozy MMORPG that blends life simulation and adventure. Build homes, grow crops, raise animals, and make friends in an open world with NPCs and other players. Explore, craft, and immerse yourself in a rich, ever-evolving world as you grow your community.

Tiny Glade

Developer Image: Pounce Light

A cozy castle, cottage and romantic ruins builder where you can turn meadows into beautiful artchitecture. With gridless building you can build as accurately and detailed as you desire. There’s no management or goals, you’re free to be as creative as you like and build your own stunning creations.

The Sims 4

Developer Image: Maxis

Of course, the most obvious option for a life sim is The Sims 4, or any version of The Sims, the original life simulation. Dominating the life sim market since 2000, there’s a reason this game is so popular. The level of customisation is uncomparable to any other game I can think of. You can build anything, be anything, do anything! And with a wealth of expansion packs, you can theme your world around anything you desire. An absolute must have for any cozy gamer looking for a life sim.

Stardew Valley

Developer Image: ConcernedApe

Of course, the most obvious choice if you’ve not already played is Stardew Valley, now considered the peak of cozy farming simulations. And for a good reason, Stardew Valley was created by 1 developer in a solo project, and with many updates over the years it has grown to be an outstanding game in this genre. Grow and sell crops, fight monsters in the mines, fish, craft items, cook recipes, raise animals and gather their produce, and meet a cast of amazing characters to befriend, romance, and maybe marry! If you haven’t already played it… just do.

It is still in early access but there’s already so much content, with new updates upcoming.

Sun Haven

Developer Image: Pixel Sprout Studios

You arrive at Sun Haven with just a few coins and some rusty tools and discover the town has been struck by dark magic! Create your own unique character with thousands of clothing options as well as a variety of magical races and starting professions to choose from. Build a farm in three different cities, and manage your skills progression through a customisable skill tree. With over 40 different crafting stations, grow your skills and customise your self, farm and home with everything from baking to smithing to jewellery making. You can build a thriving farm and budding generations to continue your legacy, where you contribute to the community, make friends, or enemies! Explore the island, unravel mysteries, grow your crops and stock for the perilous winter, or, just insult your neighbours and plot revenge in this excitingly devious twist on the farming sim genre.

Sticky Business

Cozy Grove

Two Point Hospital

Possibly one of the most popular management simulations is Two Point Hospital, where you need to complete challenges to design hospitals, from different wards to interactive waiting rooms, while healing patients from a bunch of peculiar conditions.

Spiritfarer

Developer Image: Thunder Lotus Games

In this beautifully hand drawn management life sim about death, build, manage and improve your ferry to help carry spirits to the afterlife.
