Bobba? Habbo Hotel Returns!

Habbo Hotel is back with Millennial nostalgia with Habbo Hotel Origins for a true 2005 experience.

If you were a child of the 90’s and 00’s, I’m sure this online chat room was a regular feature in your evenings after school, chatting with friends, hanging out in the lobby, waiting for the pool to open, spending your hard earned pocket money to buy credits for plastic furniture you just HAD to have lest the embarrassment of an empty room. And if you were really fancy, maybe you joined the Habbo club, or had a pet?

If this is ringing any bells, you’ll be as surprised and curious as me to hear that Habbo Hotel is relaunching 18th June 2024 exactly as it existed in 2005 as Habbo Hotel Origins. It will only be accessible via web browser, no phone app, and there will be three hotels in three languages, English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Another key difference is it will strictly 18+ so it has less stringent auto moderation compared to the current version. Which likely means a lot less bobba chat. It’s confirming the same public rooms to really enhance the noughties nostalgia, but promising a fresh community led approach.

The InfoBus Park is now going to work as they describe a “democratic forum”, where the developers will run polls and ask questions about the types of updates the community wants for the future of Habbo Hotel with further information to come through over time.
