Stardew Valley 1.6 Update - What’s Coming?
Just when we thought we’d had our lot in Stardew Valley, ConcernedApe announced there’s more in store for our farms from 19th March 2024. Here’s everything we know so far about what is in store for new content within the update.
What do we know so far?
The 1.6 Update has promised some new late game content that will expand on each of the skill areas. This should mean more opportunity to grind and progress your cooking, farming and mining skills even further. It is expected that this will mean new recipes and new blueprints for crafting. There will also be the addition of some Joja Alternatives to some of the end game quests.
Perhaps most exciting within the new updates is a brand new festival as well as two new mini festivals. Speculation on these is that the new festival could focus around the community centre, and theres high hopes there will be a New Year’s Festival, or maybe even to spread the love with your villagers and celebrate Valentines Day?
The update also promises to allow up to 8 people to play together on PC, expanding the possiblities for multiplayer and increasing your success rates in the mines with more hands to take on the monsters. With a new farm type being included, it will also mean more farm hands to build up your farm to decrease the time it will take to plant, water and harvest your crops meaning an increase in the time it takes to build up your gold!
Over 100 new lines of dialogue will be added to the villager’s stories, as well as new winter items for the villagers. We’re expecting woolly hats, scarves and wellington boots! There will also be a new type of reward for completing the billboard requests from the villagers.
And finally, ConcernedApe has promised new secrets and more, which leaves the door open for new exciting features, storylines, and maybe even characters or areas? We’re so excited for this game changing new update! What part are you most excited for?
